Alva P. Puckett

Alva P. Puckett, 74 , of Bremen, IN, passed away on Monday, May 04, 2009 at the Community Hospital of Bremen. He was born on January 9, 1935 in Hancock County, KY to Lemmon & Mary (Glendola) Puckett. He married Alice Howard on March 11, 1983. She survives.

Alva was a US Army Korean War Veteran serving with the 82nd Airborne division. He attended the First Baptist Church in Bremen and was a former member of Twin City Baptist Church in Mishawaka.

Survivors include wife Alice Puckett of Bremen, IN, 3 daughters: Teri (Ed) Sayles of Niles, MI, Patricia (Chuck) Ralph Whitesville, KY, Lori Cox of Granger, 2 stepsons: Darrin & Jeff Cox, both of Fordsville, KY, 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren

1 sister: Rebecca Jane (John) Causey of Fordsville, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents, step-father Jim Blair, grandson Tony Freeman, and brother Jerry Puckett.

Funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at the Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen, IN and will be officiated by Pastor Tom Padburg.

Friends may call from 4 ? 7 PM on Tuesday, May 5, 2009 at the funeral home.
