Edwin Curtis

Edwin Eugene Curtis, 85, of Niles, MI passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2009. He was born August 15, 1923 in Niles, MI to Charles Curtis and Vera (Snyder) Danielson. On April 12, 1947 he married Eileen Kline. She preceded in June 23, 2004. He then married Susan Carpenter on Sept 30, 2006 who preceded him in death on January 7, 2008.

Edwin owned a jewelry store in Niles in the 60's, worked at White Hall Manufacturing, retiring in 1987. He was a member of St. Johns United Church of Christ in Niles and a 1941 graduate of Niles High School before he proudly served his country during WWII in the United States Navy.

Survivors include two sisters: Donna Ferrara of Haslet, NJ, and Shirley LeStrange of Ossian, IN, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, both his wives, and three brothers, Charles, Evan and James Lester.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Bremen Cemetery Chapel and will be officiated by Pastor Kyle Gardner with military rites.
