Arden Dee Walgamuth, DDS, 72, of Leesburg passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at Kosciusko Community Hospital. He was born in Kosciusko County, and his parents were Fred & Blanche Walgamuth. He was married to Sandra VanLue, she preceded him in death in April of 1987. He then Married Shirley (Abell) Walgamuth on June 17, 1989, she survives.
Arden was an area resident since 1964 coming from Akron, Indiana. He practiced Dentistry at his office in North Webster for 45 years. He was a member of the North Webster United Methodist Church, a Graduate of the Indiana University School of Business and the School of Dentistry, a member of the American Dental Association, the Indiana Dental Association, and the Kosciusko County Dental Society; a Life Member of the North Webster Lions Club; a member of the Wawasee Camp of the Gideons; and a friend of Bill W. for over 27 years. Arden was an avid fisherman, seasoned equestrian, and enjoyed gardening. He was a beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather.
Other survivors include 3 daughters: Kristin (David) Prior of Shelburne, Vermont; Dr. Mary (Gary) Baker of Leesburg; and Tracy Martinsen (Craig) Williams of Fort Wayne. 1 son: Mark (Kathy) Walgamuth of Downers Grove, Illinois. 6 Grandchildren: Tara Fuller, Caitlin, Erin, and John Walgamuth, Lynden Prior, and Madeline Williams. 3 Great Grandchildren: KyLynn, Gabreil, and Jasmine Fuller. A nephew: Dwight Walgamuth of Pound, Minnisota. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers: Orlow, charles, and Terry Walgamuth; and 1 sister: Joyce Hahn.
Services will be Saturday, March 7, 2009, 10:30 AM at Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, Syracuse with Rev. David Smitley officiating. Burial will be in Stoney Point Cemetery, Clunette.
Visitation will be on Friday, March 6 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Funeral Home.
