Genevieve "Genny" M. Walker

Genevieve "Genny" M. Walker, 81 of Bremen, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2009, at Community Hospital of Bremen. She was born on November 25, 1927, in Bremen to Lee & Erma (Laudeman) Hochstetler.

She married Leroy Welborn on June 30, 1946. He preceded her in death on August 2, 1965. She then married Loren Walker on April 25, 1981. He preceded her in death on January 15, 2006.

She worked at the office and records department and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1945.

Genny was a Member of Salem United Methodist Church in Bremen where she played the organ for over 25 years. She played the piano at The Pines for the senior chorus, she also played the organ and piano for weddings and funerals.

Survivors include 1 Son Jeff (Marsha) Welborn of Bremen, 2 Daughters, Connie Welborn of Indianapolis, Jill (Allan Young) of Bourbon, 1 Grandson Greg (Erin) Welborn of Bremen, 3 Granddaughters: Courtney Young of Coolidge, AZ, Kelsey Young of West Lafayette, Shannon Welborn of Bremen, 1 Great-granddaughter, Paisley Welborn, 2 Step Sons: John Walker of Bremen, Mike Walker of Australia, 2 Step Daughters: Karen Wright of Danville, Nancy Walker of Bremen, 4 Step Grandchildren and 4 Step Great ?Grandchildren, 1 Brother Maynard (Louise) Hochstetler of Bremen. He was preceded by: Her Parents, 2 husbands, infant sister.

Services will be held at 10:30AM, on Saturday, February 14, 2009, at Salem United Methodist Church, Bremen. Pastor Kevin Miller will officiate. Burial will take place at Bremen Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 ? 4 & 6 ? 8PM, on Friday, February 13, 2009, at Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen.

In Lieu of Flowers, memorials may be made to the Community Hospital of Bremen or to the Salem United Methodist Church.
