Ruth Smith, 97, of Syracuse, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2008, at Miller's Merry Manor in Syracuse. She was born on February 24, 1911, in Cincinnati, OH, to Clifford & Bonnie (Pierson) Heltman.

She married Robert H. Smith, Sr., who preceded her in death.

Ruth was a Syracuse resident, and previously lived in Cincinnati and Fairhope, AL. She was a Homemaker and owner of a security service.

Survivors include a Granddaughter: Ginger Abbs of Syracuse and 3 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 1 Son: Robert H. Smith, Jr., and 1 sister.

No visitation or services are planned. Burial will take place at a later date.
