Martha A. Hepler

Martha A. Hepler, 73, of Syracuse, passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2008, at Goshen General Hospital. She was born on June 29, 1935, in Wabash, IN, to Robert & Augusta (Grimes) Fordyce.

On February 13, 1960, she married Robert W. Hepler; he survives.

She moved to Syracuse in 1960, from Warsaw, and was a clerk at Pamida Department Store; retiring in 1999. Martha formerly attended the North Webster Church of God. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and collecting Hot Wheels and angels.

Survivors include her Husband: Robert, of Syracuse, 4 Daughters: Bobbi (Robert) Schiffer of Tallahassee, FL, Jo Hepler of Syracuse, Julie Hepler of Syracuse and Lori (Dan) Schmatz of Mishawaka, IN, 7 Grandchildren: Dustin and Cody Hepler, Jordan, Jenna & Jacob Schmatz, Collin and Natalie Schiffer, 2 Great Grandchildren, Cole Hepler and Landon Elliott; 1 sister: Connie Mock.

Services will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2008, at 2:00PM at Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel. Friends may call on Friday, October 17, 2008, from 2-4 & 6-8PM and one hour prior to services on Saturday. Burial will take place at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, the American Diabetes Association or the Syracuse EMS.
