Minnie Ellen Bennitt, 86, of Bremen passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2008, at her residence. She was born on February 18, 1922, in New Carlisle, IN, to Merle & Dorothy (Miller) Stombaugh.
She married Paul Bennitt on November 1, 1941; he preceded her in death on June 10, 2000.
A Homemaker, Minnie attended the Bremen Missionary Church, was a member of Lakeview Homemakers Club and the Dozen and One Bunco Club.
Survivors include 4 daughters: Connie (Bob) Hummel of St. James, Missouri, Barb (Nick) Kintzel of Warsaw, Pam (John) Zeiger of Bremen, Karen (Joel) Dillon of Bremen, 2 sons: Jack (Carolyn) Bennitt of Bremen, Bob (Judy) Bennitt of Plymouth, 1 daughter-in-law: Cheryl Willard of Kansas,
23 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren, 5 sisters: Margaret Simpson of New Carlisle, Beverly Gray of Redlands, CA, Reva Giles of Henderson, NV, Elaine Lathrop of Kouts, Eldean Ebanks of Oceano, CA. She was preceded in death by: Husband, 1 son: Ken Bennitt, 3 brothers: Wilbur, Raymond and Miller Stombaugh, 3 sisters: Wilma Enders, Viola Rainey, Jane Grove.
Services will be held at 10:30AM on Monday, October 13, 2008, at Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen. Pastor Gary Hinkle will officiate. Burial will take place at Bremen Cemetery. Friends may call from 1-4 PM on
Sunday, October 12, 2008, at
Mishler Funeral Home, Bremen.
