Joseph A. Gerenscer, Jr.

Joe Gerenscer, Jr., 49, of Milford, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2008, from an automobile accident on CR 35 & US 6 in Elkhart County. He was born on February 22, 1959, in Plymouth, to Joseph & Rowena (Houser) Gerencser, Sr.

He married Linda "Susie" (James) on September 5, 1998. She preceded him in death in 2006.

A lifetime area resident, Joe was a licensed teacher and a former CTB employee. He was also a former EMT with the Milford EMS. Joe was a member of the Milford United Methodist Church, a 1977 graduate of Wawasee High School and a 1981 graduate of Purdue University, where he was a memebr of the Phi Kappa Sigma Fraternity.

He is survived by his Father, Joseph Gerencser, Sr., 2 Sisters: Sandra (David) Lundrgren of Ottowa, Kansas, Sharon (Ben) Spiegel of Steamboat Springs, Colorado, 1 Brother: Gary Gerenscer of Milford, 8 Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife and his mother.

Services will be held on Friday, August 8, 2008, at 10:30AM, at the Milford United Methodist Church with the Rev. Rob Nelson officiating. Burial will take place at the Milford Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8PM Thursday at the Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home in Milford.
