Richard L. Fifer

Richard L. Fifer, age 37, of Leesburg, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2008 in Rochester. He was born November 23, 1970, in Elkhart, IN, to Ken & Cheryl (Harman) Fifer.

A lifetime area resident, Richard was a truck driver for 17 years and was most recently employed at Gulf Stream Coach in Nappanee. He was a 1989 graduate of Wawasee High School. Richard lived his life to the fullest and was very devoted to his family and friends.

Survivors include his Parents: Ken & Cheryl Fifer of Leesburg, 4 Sisters: Penny (Ronnie) Adams of Claypool, Kelly (Ted) Hart of Rochester, Cathy (Randy) Hoover of Syracuse, Cindy Wharton of Milford, his Maternal Grandmother: Lois Harman of Leesburg, Paternal Grandmother: Jean Davis of North Webster, 6 Nephews, 3 Nieces, 3 Great Nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 Grandfathers and 1 Step Grandfather.

Services will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2008, at 10:00AM at Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home in Milford. Pastor Doug West will officiate. Burial will take place in Leesburg Cemetery. Friends may call from 2-8PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial contributions to be given to the American Heart Association.
