TOPEKA, Ind. ? Bateman B. Middlebrooks, 79, died at 9:13 p.m. Friday at Avalon Village in Ligonier of natural causes.

He married Marcia Gilbert Aug. 20, 1950. She survives.

Also surviving are three daughters, Clyda (Ron) Thurman, Orem, Utah, Jeana (Art) Bristow, Longview, Texas, and Nona (Gary) Yoder, Topeka.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. today at Topeka United Methodist Church, and one hour prior to the funeral service on Monday.

The funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at the church.

Burial will be in Eden Cemetery, Topeka.
