Connie J. Gardner, 65, of Bremen, passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2008, at the Community Hospital of Bremen. She was born on June 25, 1942, in Starke County, Indiana, to Elvin and Sylvia (Reinholt) Eads.

On June 3, 1960, she married Howard "Mike" Gardner. He survives.

Connie attended Pine Creek Church of the Brethren in North Liberty, was a big fan of her grandchildren's sporting events and of John Glenn Basketball.

Survivors include her husband, 2 daughters: Carman (Rick) Greenlee of Bourbon, Michelle (Bill) Workman of Bloomington, 1 son: Mick (Barbara) Gardner of Bremen, 2 grandchildren: Austin and Mikayla Gardner, 1 step-grandson: Jesse Greenlee, 1 sister: Vickie (Kim) Finkenbiner of North Webster, 2 brothers: Eugene (Linda) Eads of Nevada and Arlis Eads of Plymouth. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters: Cindy Zimmerman and Wilma "Willie" Birk.

Services will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2008, at 10:30AM at the Pine Creek Church of the Brethren, 69531 Pine Road, North Liberty, IN. Pastor Andy Kaser will officiate. Burial will be at the Morris Cemetery in Lapaz. Friends may call from 4-8PM Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen and also 9:00AM until time of service on Wednesday at the church.
