N. Virginia Cain

N. Virginia Cain, 91, of Milford, passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2008, at 5:32PM at Goshen General Hospital. She was born on December 29, 1916, in Kosciusko County to Claire & Bertha (Noble) Heagy.

On January 20, 1940, she married Farrell Cain. He preceded her in death in January of 1988.

A lifetime area resident, Virginia worked as the credit manager at Kline's Department Store for 35 years, until their closing. She graduated from Warsaw High School in 1935, was a member of the Milford United Methodist Church and was a 50+ year member of the Warsaw Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. Virginia was also a member of the Warsaw Homemakers Club.

Survivors include 2 Daughters: Beverly Flannery of Milford and Barbara Gardonio of Warsaw; 7 grandchildren & 11 great-grandchildren; 1 sister: Betty Hetler of Warsaw as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 Son: Larry L. Cain, 2 Brothers: Richard & Gordon Heagy.

Services will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, January 19, 2008, at Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home in Milford with the Rev. Carol Knox officiating. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Warsaw. Friends may call from 10:00AM-2:00PM on Saturday, prior to the service at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Milford United Methodist Church.
