Geraldine Schaaf

Geraldine Schaaf of Leesburg, passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2007. She was born on May 18, 1924, in Leesburg, IN, to Lester & Emmel (Ellis) Dye.

In 1945, she married Allen Junior Bayne. He preceded in 1946. On December 6, 1967, she married Peter Schaaf. He survives.

A lifetime area resident, Jerry was the former owner of Leesburg Liquor with her husband, Peter. She attended Leesburg High School, was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Warsaw American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She was also a member of the state champion softball team with Arnolt Corporation.

Survivors include her husband: Peter Schaaf of Leesburg, 1 Son: Donal "Danny" (Susan) Bayne of Florida, 1 Granddaughter: Deanna S. Bayne of Florida, 1 Great Grandson: Kristopher M. Bayne of Florida, 1 Sister: Kathleen Shively of Leesburg, 1 Step Daughter: Tamra June (John) Sanchez of Ft. Wayne, 1 Step Son: Daniel (Laurie) Barker of Kokomo, 4 Step Grandchildren: Joel Barker, Lee Allen Barker, Joseph Sanchez, Cassandra Barker. She was preceded in death by her first husband: Allen Junior Bayne, 1 Brother: Lester Duane "Dewy" Dye.

Services will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2007, at 10:30AM, at Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home in Milford. Burial will be at the Leesburg Cemetery. Friends may call from 3-7PM on Friday, December 28, 2007, at the funeral home.
