William F. Niere
October 3, 1935 — November 17, 2007
William F. Niere, 72, of Bremen, passed away at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend on Saturday, November 17, 2007, at 2:54PM. He was born on October 3, 1935 in Quincy, IL, to Martin & Mary (Hayes) Niere.
On October 15, 1958 he married Wanda Lawrence, she survives.
William moved to the Bremen area in 1969. He retired as a welder with J and R Manufacturing in 1999. He was a Korea Veteran serving his country in the US Marines and he was a member of the Bremen VFW.
Survivors include his Wife: Wanda of Bremen, 1 Daughter: Willett (Larry) Hooten of New Carlisle, 1 Son: Martin (Irma) Niere of Bremen, 3 Grandchildren: Kristina Niere of Warrenville, IL, Dillon Hooten of New Carlisle, Katelyn Hooten of New Carlisle, 1 Sister: Joan (John) Nickelson of South Bend.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his nephew: Ed Nickelson.
Services will be held on Wednesday, November 21, 2007, at 2:00 PM at Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen. Burial with full military rites will follow at Bremen Cemetery. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Bremen VFW Post #8972.
