Margaret Ellen Widmar

Margaret Ellen "G.G." Widmar, 96, of Bremen, passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2007, at 12:05AM, at the Community Hospital of Bremen. She was born on January 3, 1911, in Kewanee, IL, to Ervin & Margaret (Walter) Goss.

G.G. moved to Bremen in 1932, from Kewanee, IL, and retired from Miller/Norcen Insurance in 1976. She was a Member of the First United Church of Christ in Bremen since 1932. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Tri-Kappa and was known as one of the Golden Girls known for their support of Bremen High School athletics.

Survivors include her Daughter: Joyce (Douglass) Miller of Bremen, IN, 2 Grandchildren: Gwen (David) Schmidt of Troy, MI and Greg (Jenni) Miller of Bremen, IN, and 6 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother: Paul.

Services will be held on Friday, November 9, 2007, at 10:00AM at Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen. Reverend Dr. Doug Busby will officiate. Burial will follow at the Bremen Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8PM on Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Marshall County Community Foundation or the First United Church of Christ in Bremen.
