Chester Landis

Chester Landis, 85, of Bremen, passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2007, at his residence. He was born on February 9, 1922, in Howesville, Indiana to Theodore & Lily (Sheets) Landis.

He married Hester Allen on December 20, 1941. She survives.

Chester attended First Baptist Church in Bremen. He enjoyed fishing and was a big Cubs baseball fan. He will be watching the series from heaven. Chester was a semi truck driver.

Survivors include his Wife Hester of Bremen, 1 daughter: Deborah (Richard) Jeter of Indianapolis, 1 daughter-in-law: Maria Landis of Houston, TX, 3 grandsons: Troy (Susan) Reed of Indianapolis, Matthew (Amber) Reed of Bremen, Ryan Landis of Houston, TX, 3 great-grandsons: Evan, Carson, Franklin & Easton Reed. He was preceded by: 1 son: Robert Lloyd Landis, 3 sisters and 2 brothers.

Services will be held at 10:00AM on Friday, October 5, 2007, at Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen.

Pastor Jerry Smith will officiate. Burial will be at Bremen Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 PM Thursday, October 4, 2007,at the funeral home

Memorial contributions may be made to the Autism Society, American Cancer Society, or the American Heart Association.
