Delmar L. "Jr." Carothers, 84, of

Bremen, passed away on Friday, September 7, 2007, at 2:00PM, at

Bremen Health Care Center. He was born on August 3, 1923, in Bremen, to Delmar E. & Pauline E. (Thomas) Carothers, Sr.

On June 15, 1945, he married Mai (Forsythe). She preceded him in death April 20, 2000.

A Lifetime area resident, Jr. worked at Bremen Castings for 26 years. He also Managed various apartments and motels with his wife Mai. Jr. attended Riverside United Methodist Church and was a 1942 graduate of Madison Twp. High School. He was also a die hard Cubs fan.

Survivors include 1 Daughter: Kay Sprague of Bremen; 1 Son: Rickey "Rick" (Rhonda) Carothers of Bremen, 5 Sisters: Mildred Lind of South Bend, Connie (James) Marshall of Bremen, Geneva (James) McAffee of Plymouth, Janice Beane of Bremen, Joy (Paul) Replogle of Bremen; 4 Brothers: Vernon Carothers of Bremen, Noble (Helen) Carothers of Bremen, Bill (Shirley) Carothers of Bremen and Jack (Mary) Carothers of Lakeville, 8 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded by: His Wife, Parents, 1 Sister Delores, 2 Brothers Donald and Gerald.

Services will be held at 10:30AM on Tuesday, September 11, 2007, at Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen. Pastor Gail Law will officiate. Burial will follow at Bremen Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8PM Monday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Association.
