Pegge J. Bowland

Pegge J. "Bean" Bowland, 74, of Syracuse, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2007, at her residence. She was born in Nappanee on May 21, 1932, to Raymond & Grayce (Smeltzer) Hare.

In November of 1951, she married Roy "Jack" Bean. She later married Francis "Mark" Bowland on February 14, 1980; he preceded in 1991.

A lifetime area resident, Pegge was a Homemaker, a member of the First Brethren Church of Nappanee, the American Legion and the VFW Auxiliary of Nappanee.

Survivors include 1 Daughter: Andrea Renee (Dennis) Hochstetler of Port Charlotte, Florida, 1 Son: Jeff Bean of Nappanee, Indiana, 1 Sister: Patricia (Kenneth) Middaugh of Nappanee, 3 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren and 2 Step-Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 1 Sister: Phyllis Haney and 3 Brothers: Richard, Bill and Louie Hare.

Services will be held Saturday, March 17, 2007, at 11:00AM at the Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, in Syracuse. Pastor Brad Cox will officiate. Burial will be at a later date. Friends may call 1 hour prior to services on Saturday, March 17, 2007, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be given to Goshen Health System/Care at Home Hospice.
