Pierre "Pete" J. Lenfestey

Pierre J. "Pete" Lenfestey, 57, of Warsaw, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2007, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne after a 9 year battle with cancer. He was born on February 25, 1949, in Marion, Indiana, to Earl & Gwen (Powell) Lenfestey.

On August 24, 1968, he married Peggy Goodyear. She survives.

An area resident since 1964, Pete was a Maintenance Specialist at DePuy in Warsaw for 31 years. He was also a member of the Barbee Conservation Club, an avid ice fisherman, enjoyed riding in his antique MG and dearly loved his granddaughter.

Survivors include his Wife: Peggy Lenfestey of Warsaw, 2 Sons: Mark (Karen) Lenfestey of Fort Wayne and Matthew (Aubrey) Lenfestey of Warsaw, 1 Granddaughter: Amanda Elizabeth Lenfestey, 2 Brothers: Royce & Cort Lenfestey, both of Warsaw, 1 Sister: Wrenay Kann of Syracuse and his four-legged family: Lucky, Susie & Abby. He was preceded in death by 2 Brothers and his Parents.

Services will be held Saturday, January 27, 2007, at 1:00PM at the Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, in Syracuse. Burial will be at the Syracuse Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday, January 26, 2007, from 2-4 & 6-8PM at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Animal Welfare League.
