Marian Kintzel, age 98, passed away at Miller's Merry Manor in Wakarusa on Friday, January 5, 2007. She was born on December 24, 1908, in Lafayette, Indiana, to William & Helen (Neill) Sempill.
On June 5, 1934, she married Joseph Kintzel, in Lafayette, Indiana. He preceded her in death.
Marian taught Home Economics at the former Marion Township School for 14 years. She was a graduate of West Lafayette High School in 1926, Purdue University in 1930, where she was a member of the Kappa Delta Pi Sorority. She was also a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Bremen, Indiana. She loved her students.
Survivors include 1 Daughter: Karen (Jim) Wright of Thorntown, Indiana, 1 Son: Craig Kintzel of Florida, 1 Sister: Helen Watts of Columbia, South Carolina, 5 Grandchildren and 11 Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and 1 sister.
Services will be held Wednesday, January 10, 2007, at 10:30AM at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 605 S. Center Street in Bremen with Pastor Neil Wonnacott officiating. Burial will follow at the Bremen Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8PM Tuesday, January 9, 2007, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
