Doris "Peggy" Moore, age 80, of Syracuse, passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2006, at Goshen General Hospital. She was born on July 17, 1926, in Urbana, Illinois, to William and Demarace (Neal) Bowlin.
On July 17, 1982, she married David K. Moore. He survives.
Peggy lived in Indianapolis, moved to Peoria in 1982, then to Syracuse in 1987 and became a permanent resident. She was a bookkeeper and co-owner of Wholesale Television in Indianapolis, Administrator of the Parks Department in Indianapolis, retiring after 10 years and worked for the Ligonier Park Deparment. She was a member and volunteer for Calvary United Methodist Church in Syracuse, volunteered for Meals on Wheels, volunteered at Oak Lawn Hospital for 12 years, volunteered with Hospice, volunteered with the Gray Ladies, volunteered and worked in the PR Department at the American Red Cross.
Survivors include her husband: David K. Moore, of Syracuse, 3 Sons: Roger (Judi) Reich of Indianapolis, Jeffrey (Angie) Reich of Palmyra, Indiana, Kevin (Sue) Reich of Minneapolis, Minnesota, 8 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and 3 sisters.
Services will be held Saturday, December 2, 2006, at 3:00PM at the Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, in Syracuse. Rev. David Herr will officiate. Friends may call from 4-8PM Friday, December 1, 2006, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Goshen Cancer Care Center.
