Leonard W. Stichter

Leonard W. Stichter, age 73, of Plymouth, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2006, at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center of South Bend. He was born on June 12, 1933, in Hopedale, IL, to Gordon & Esther (Good) Stichter.

On October 19, 1957 he married Esther Weldy in Nappanee. She survives.

He was a member of Bremen Bible Church where he served as an Elder and a Sunday School teacher, Prison Fellowship, 1-W Alternate Service in Anderson, IN and he was a 1951 graduate of Bremen High School.

Survivors include his wife: Esther of Plymouth, 1 daughter: Melissa (Greg) Miller of Goshen, 3 sons: Steve (Cindy) Stichter of Etna Green, Roger (Jane) Stichter of Winona Lake, Tim (Evelyn) Stichter of Etna Green, 2 sisters: Carolyn Graber of Spooner, WI, Lorene Schrock of Exeland, WI, 4 brothers: Don of Goshen, Ralph of Wakarusa, Loren of Warsaw, Ken of Fairbanks, Alaska, 15 grandchildren.

Services will be held Tuesday, October 31, 2006, at 3:00PM at North Main Street Mennonite Church in Nappanee 504 N. Main Street. Dr. Duane Beals will officiate. Graveside service will occur prior to service at 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at Bremen Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2-8PM on Monday, October 30, 2006, at the Bremen Bible Church in Bremen, 124 N. Baltimore St., and 1 hour prior to service Tuesday, at North Main Street Mennonite Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Bible Memory Ministries of Goshen or to Jim and Kristy Miller serving with North American Indigenous Ministries based in Seattle.
