Patrice L. Hurd

Patrice "Pat" Hurd, age 56, of Milford, passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2006, at her residence. She was born on August 28, 1950, in Goshen, to LaMar & Lucille (Weaver) Schrock. On April 22, 1978, she married Gary Hurd, he survives.



Pat was the Van Buren Township Trustee Assessor for 8 years, previously Township Clerk and Deputy Assessor for 8 years. She was a Speech Pathologist for 2 years in North Carolina and she was with the New Prairie School District for 3 years. Pat was a 1968 Graduate of Goshen High School, a 1972 Graduate of Purdue University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Speech Pathology, she was a 1973 Graduate of Purdue University with a Master's Degree in Speech Pathology. She was a member of New Paris Missionary Church, she was a member of the Milford Kiwanis and a she was a loving wife and mother.

Survivors include: her husband Gary of Milford, 2 daughters: Rachel (Dennie) Schrock of Osceola, Ashley Hurd of Milford, 2 Brothers: Bryce (Jane) Schrock of Goshen, Fred (Ann) Schrock of Mishawaka, sister-in-law: Carol Schrock of Kingston, TN.

Services will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2006 at the New Paris Missionary Church, at 10:00 AM. Pastor Dave Hackney will officiate. Burial will follow in Milford Cemetery.

Friends may call from 1-8PM Wednesday, October 18, 2006, at the Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home in Milford.
