Carolyn Robbins

Carolyn Y. Robbins, age 92, of Syracuse, passed away Monday, August 28, 2006, at Miller's Merry Manor in Syracuse. She was born on December 29, 1913 in Marshall County, IN, to Ernest & Fern (Miller) Young.

On May 20, 1939, she married Bryan Robbins. He preceded her in death in 1998.

A Syracuse and Bourbon area resident, Carolyn was a Registered Nurse at South Bend Memorial Hospital and she retired from Pilgrim Manor in Plymouth. She was a former member of the Bourbon Progress Club and the Bourbon Sewing Club. She was a former member of First United Methodist Church in Bourbon where she was active in the choir. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Syracuse and a member of Memorial Hospital Nurses Alumni Association.

Survivors include 1 Daughter: Mrs. Paul (Cindy) Pritchard of Syracuse, 2 Grandchildren: Mathew (Jeni) Pritchard of Syracuse, Amy (Ryan) Sheffield of Shalimar, FL, 2 Great Grandchildren: Jared & Sara Pritchard.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her Husband Bryan and 1 Sister: Evelyn Weissert.

Services will be held Tuesday, September 5, 2006, at 7:00 PM at Calvary United Methodist Church in Syracuse. No visitation is planned.
