Lucille Poynter

Lucille Poynter, age 92, passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2006, at Goshen General Hospital. She was born on July 21, 1914, in Syracuse to Milo & Margaret (Mackey) Kitson.

In March, 1945, she married Raymond Poynter. He preceded her in death in 1969.

A lifelong Syracuse resident, Lucille operated a licensed child daycare for 40 years, was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church, the Legion Auxiliary in Syracuse and the Friday Lunch Bunch. She loved children.

Survivors include 1 daughter: Jayne and her husband Jim Gall. She was preceded in death by her husband, 1 daughter: Carolyn Grace Poynter and 4 brothers.

Services will be held Monday, August 14, 2006, at 10:00AM at he Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, in Syracuse. Rev. Ken Robinson will officiate. Burial will take place at the Syracuse Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday, August 13, 2006, from 5:00-8:00PM and one hour prior to the service on Monday.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Calvary United Methodist Church.
