Theodore "Ted" J. Zydek, age 86, of North Webster, passed away at his residence on Monday, May 22, 2006. He was born on November 26, 1919, in Downers Grove, Illinois, to Stanley & Mary (Pajak) Zydek.
On May 29, 1948, he married Lillian Staniszewski. She survives.
Ted lived in the Chicagoland area most of his life and retired to North Webster in the 1982. He retired from Electro Motors in La Grange, Illinois. Ted attended St. Martin de Porres Catholic Chruch, he was a WWII Veteran, serving in the Air Force and a member of the North Webster American Legion Post 253.
Survivors include his wife: Lillian of North Webster. 1 daughter: Stephanie Viita of Burbank, Illinois. 2 sons: Stanley (Barbara) Zydek of West Dundee, Illinois and Richard (Ann) Zydek of Pierceton, Indiana. 6 grandchildren: Stephen Zydek of Champaign, Illinois, David Zydek of Chicago, Illinois, Laura Viita of Minooka, Illinois, Christine (Nicholas) Pappageorge of Minooka, Illinois, Jennifer Viita of Burbank, Illinois, James Viita of Burbank, Illinois. 3 great-grandchildren. 3 sisters: Anne Zydek, Stella Zydek and Helen Zydek all of Downers Grove, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister: Stephanie Bulin and 2 brothers: Leonard Zydek and Chester Zydek.
Services will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2006, at 9:30AM at St. Alberts Catholic Church in Burbank, Illinois. There will be Military Graveside services. Burial will be in the Resurrection Cemetery in Justice, Illinois. Friends may call Friday, May 26, 2006, from 3:00-9:00PM at the Lawn Funeral Home in Burbank, Illinois.
Memorials may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation or Kosciusko Hospice and Home Care.
