Alice Mary Dziagwa Godbold

Alice Mary (nee) Dziagwa Godbold born August 5, 1930, in Chicago, Illinois, passed away on Monday, May 8, 2006, at 7:34AM in the Bremen Community Hospital. Beloved wife and best friend of 35 years to Albert Godbold. Alice lived in Starke County prior to moving to Bremen in 1981.

Loving mother of Nicholas Krantz, of Bremen; Gloria (late Richard) Servin of Lake Station, Indiana; Conrad Krantz of Bremen; Deborah (Rick) Szromba of Beecher, Illinois; Pamela (Jerry) Anguiano, of Munster, Indiana; Michael (Sue) Krantz of Bremen; and Glenn (Imelda) Godbold of Bremen. Loving stepmother of: Lawrence (Rose) Godbold of Watseka, Illinois; Ronald (Cindy) Godbold of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin; and Patricia Marciniak of Chicago, Illinois. Grandmother of 19 and Great-grandmother of 14. Preceded in death by her parents, George and Mary Dziagwa. Loving sister of the late Celia (Joe) Zachary, the late Bernice (Stanley) Grierczynski, Vicky (the late Jerry) Zientara of Chicago, Illinois; the late Bill Dziagwa; Betty (the late Eddie) Chrzanowski of Naperville, Illinois; and Vera (Jack) Bickel of Waterloo, Iowa. Alice attended St. Michael's Church in Chicago, attended St. Dominic's in Bremen and the First Baptist Church in Bremen. She enjoyed reading, animals and dancing.

Services for Mrs. Godbold will be held at 11:00AM on Thursday, May 11, 2006, at the Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen. Pastor Jerry Smith will officiate. Burial will follow at Bremen Cemetery. Visitation for Alice is on Wednesday, May 10, 2006, from 2-7PM, at the funeral home.
