Margie J. Simcox

Margie J. Simcox, age 87, of Milford, passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2006, at Miller's Merry Manor in Syracuse. She was born in South Bend, Indiana, on January 11, 1919, to Lawrence and Marie (Hickey) Vanett.

On February 6, 1937, she married Robert H. Simcox. He preceded her in death in 1983.

After moving from South Bend to the local area in 1930, Margie, a homemaker, was a member of the Milford United Methodist Church, the Animal Welfare League of Warsaw and former Milford Senior Queen.

Survivors include a son: Phillip (Linda) Simcox, of Larwill, 2 daughters: Diane Nail of Milford and Linda (John) Helms Gillespie of Milford, 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. Two brothers: Don and Ray Vanett, both of South Bend, and a sister: Eloise Kaminski of South Bend also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and 2 brothers: Dee and Roy.

Services will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2006, at 4:00PM at the Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home in Milford. Pastor Rob Nelson will officiate. Burial will follow at the Milford Cemetery. Friends may call from 1-4PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be given to the Animal Welfare League of Warsaw.
