Delbert Willard Moneyheffer

October 20, 1919 — April 7, 2006

Delbert Willard Moneyheffer, age 86, of Milford, Indiana, passed away on Friday, April 7, 2006, at Lakeland Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. He was born on October 20, 1919, in Nappanee, IN to Samuel & Barbara Ellen (Davidhizer) Moneyheffer.

On October 25, 1942, he married Bertha Newcomer. She survives.

Delbert was a lifelong area resident. He retired from Milford Schools as a custodian. He was a carpenter and Woodworker. He was a member of Bethel Church of the Brethren in Milford later merging with Bethany church of the Brethren in New Paris where he was a Deacon for over 50 years. He served 4 years as a Civilian Public Service worker during WWII as a volunteer Brethren Disaster Relief volunteer.

Survivors include his wife: Bertha, of Milford, 3 Daughters:

Linda (Henry) Miller and Sue Boyer both of Milford, Sharon (Bob) Muhn of Ft. Wayne, 10 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren, 2 Brothers: John (Betty) of Leesburg, Charles (Marjorie) of Nappanee, 2 Sisters: Mary (Carl) Null of Wakarusa, Barbara (Lloyd) Truex of Davie, FL. He was preceded by: His parents, 1 Daughter: Jeanne Hunsberger, 1 Sister: Mable Horein, 2 Brothers: Henry and Harvey.

Services will be held at 10:30AM, Tuesday, April 11, 2006, at Bethany Church of the Brethren in New Paris. Pastor Tim Sollenberger-Morphew will officiate. Burial will follow at the Union Center Cemetery, Nappanee. Friends may call Monday, April 10, 2006, from 2-4PM & 6-8 PM at the Mishler Eastlund Funeral Home in Milford.

Memorials may be made to the Bethany Church of the Brethren or Care at Home Hospice of Goshen General Hospital.
