Timothy K. Poynter

Timothy K. Poynter, age 64, of Syracuse, passed away on Friday, March 10, 2006, at his home after a lengthy illness. He was born in New Castle, Indiana, on December 2, 1941, to Lester & Mary Jo Poynter.

Timothy moved to the area 10 years ago from New Castle. He retired from Dana after 32 years. Timothy attended North Webster Church of the Brethren, he was a US Air Force Veteran, he was a member of the Hagerstown American Legion.

On January 1, 1998, he married Debbi (Kramer) in Las Vegas, Nevada. She survives.

Survivors include his wife: Debbi Poynter of Syracuse, 2 Stepdaughters: Paula Barker of Fresno, CA, Melissa (Dusty) Nabinger of North Webster, 3 Stepsons: Bill Hicks of New Castle, Scott Barker of Graham, WA, Kerry Fribley of Syracuse, 7 Grandchildren, 4 Sisters: Tauni McCorkle of New Castle, Starry McCall of Carmel, Laura Klamisz of NC, Gina Huff of MO, 4 Brothers: Michael of New Castle, Johnie of Ft. Wayne, Ken of New Castle, Todd of New Castle.

Services will be held Tuesday, March 14, 2006, at 11:00AM at the North Webster Church of the Brethren. Pastors Gary and Lisa Yoder will officiate. Friends may call Monday, March 13, 2006, from 6:00-8:00PM at the Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel in Syracuse.

Memorials may be given to the Loveway Therapeutic Riding Center, where Debbi was a former riding instructor.
