Irene L. Huff

Irene L. Huff, age 87, of Bremen, passed away Monday, February 20, 2006, at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka. She was born on March 20, 1918, in Bremen, to Carl & Beulah (Yockey) Moore.

A lifetime area resident and homemaker, Irene was a very active member of Grace United Methodist Church. She was also a 1936 graduate of Bremen High School.

In November of 1940, she married Louis Huff (65 years).

Survivors include her husband: Louis Huff of Bremen, 2 daughters: Betty (Richard) Carr of Bremen and Barbara (John) Chaille of Yorktown, Indiana. 2 sons: Kenneth (Suzanne) Huff of Southbury, Connecticut, and Donald (Jane) Huff of Bremen. 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, 3 sisters: Ann Griffing of Greenfield, Indiana, Agnes Martin of Bremen and Elfreda Cline of Bremen all survive. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister: Kate Garrett.

Services will be held Friday, February 24, 2006, at 10:30AM at the Grace United Methodist Church in Bremen. Pastor Bill Garver will officiate. Burial will follow at the Bremen Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday, February 23, 2006, from 4:00-8:00PM at the Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen.

Memorials may be given to the Grace United Methodist Church or the Community Hospital of Bremen.
