Harold W. Hudson, age 83, passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2006, at the Bremen Health Care Center. He was born on March 25, 1922, in Owensburg, Indiana, to Merle and Audrey (Wade) Hudson.
Coming to Bremen from Whiteland, Indiana, in 2001, Harold was a retired carpenter, working 20 years for Brandt Brothers and 16 years for Kroger. He was a member of the Greenwood United Methodist Church, the Masonic Lodge in Greenwood, the Scottish Rite of Indianapolis and the Carpenters Local Union 758 in Indianapolis. He was also a U.S. Army WWII veteran, where he served with the 208 Battalion of Combat Engineers.
In 1943, he married Dorinda Adams in Herderson, Kentucky. She preceded him in death in 1999.
Survivors include 1 son: Gary (Kathy) Hudson of Bremen. 3 grandchildren: Molly & Kelley Hudson of West Lafayette, Indiana, and Nathanael (Renee) Hudson of Peoria, Arizona. 2 great-grandchildren: Erin and Ryan Crosby, both at home in Peoria, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife: Dorinda L. Hudson.
Services will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, February 11, 2006, at the Wilson-St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Greenwood Chapel, U.S. 31 and Main Street, in Greenwood, Indiana. Friends may call from 9:30-11:00AM (1 1/2 hours prior to service) on Saturday, February 11, 2006, at the funeral home in Greenwood, Indiana. Entombment will be in the Forest Lawn Memorial Garden Cemetery in Greenwood.
