Bertha A. Stuckman, age 95, of Syracuse, passed away Monday, January 30, 2006, at her residence. She was born on March 2, 1910, in Barbee Lake, to John and Mary (Willard) Blitz.
A lifetime Syracuse/Webster area resident and homemaker, Bertha was a member of the Syracuse Church of the Brethren. She also enjoyed spending time with friends and family.
On December 11, 1926, she married Ned Stuckman. He preceded her in death in 1990.
Survivors include her children: Joy Brown, Warsaw; Mary (Richard) Weaver, Syracuse; Ross (Ann) Stuckman, Milford; Charles (Sharon) Stuckman, Syracuse; Daniel (Linda) Stuckman, Syracuse; Gary (Angie) Stuckman, Syracuse; and Alden (Joan) Stuckman of Syracuse. 26 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great grandchildren survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Ned, her infant son, Ned, Jr., 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
Services will be held Thursday, February 2, 2006, at 2:00PM at the Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, in Syracuse. Pastor Brad Cox will officiate. Burial will follow at McClintic Cemetery in Syracuse. Friends may call from 2-4PM and 6-8PM on Wednesday, February 1, 2006, and 1 hour prior to services on Thursday at the funeral home.
