Carol S. Newcomer

Carol S. Newcomer, age 69, of 601 E. South Street, Bremen, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2006, at the Bremen Health Care Facility. She was born on November 21, 1936, in Bremen, to John & Hazel R. (Pittman) Snyder.

A lifelong Bremen resident, she worked for over 20 years at Ristance Assemblies in Bremen. She graduated from Bremen High School. She belonged to the Bremen Bowling League and was a member of the Dixie Walkers, a square dancing group, in Walkerton, Indiana. She and her husband even danced on television.

On March 5, 1955, she marred Ralph "Jr." Newcomer. He survives.

Survivors include her husband: Ralph "Jr." Newcomer of Bremen. A son: Keith (Rose) Newcomer of Milford, Indiana, a daughter: Vicki (Dave) Blomquist of Winfield, Illinois, a sister: Phyllis (Lee) Lolmaugh of South Bend. 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents and 3 brothers: William Earl, Forrest E. and John Snyder.

Services will be held at 11:00AM, Friday, January 6, 2006, at the Mishler Funeral Home in Bremen. Pastor Neil Wonnacott will officiate. Burial will follow at the Bremen Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00-7:00PM on Thursday, January 5, 2006, at the funeral home.

Memorials may be given to St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Bremen.
