Mary L. Kelly

Mary L. Kelly, age 93, of Milford and Syracuse areas, passed away Monday, December 12, 2005, at the Lakeland Health & Rehabilitation Center in Milford. She was born in Syracuse, Indiana, on September 28, 1912, to Wilford and Sailie (Bartholomew) Druckamiller.

Mary was born and raised in Syracuse, where she also spent most of her life. She moved to Milford 20 years ago and was retired from Syracuse Rubber Company. She graduated from Syracuse High School, where she was involved in cheerleading and basketball. She also played semi-professional basketball in the area. She spent much time eating and socializing with friends at the Log Cabin in Syracuse.

On September 27, 1935, she married Melvin D. Kelly. He preceded her in death in 1969.

Survivors include 1 son: Larry D. (Cinda) Kelly of Ligonier. 3 grandsons: Steven Kelly of Ligonier, Mike and Time Kelly, both of Miami, Florida. 2 great-grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Melvin D. Kelly, a stepson: DeVerle Kelly, 3 brothers: Leonard, Leo and Emory Druckamiller and a sister: Georgia Anderson.

Services will be held at 2:00PM, Friday, December 16, 2005, at the Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel. Pastor Brad Cox will officiate. Burial will follow at the Syracuse Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday, December 15, 2005, from 2:00-4:00PM and 6:00-8:00PM at the funeral home and 1 hour prior to services on Friday, also at the funeral home.

Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association.
