Raymond J. Jetmore

July 26, 1925 — December 6, 2005

Raymond Jetmore, age 80, of Syracuse, passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2005, at Goshen General Hospital. He was born July 26, 1925, in Churubusco, Indiana, to Jefferson and Viola (Rolans) Jetmore.

A Syracuse resident since 1951, Raymond retired after 35 years from DANA, formerly Weatherhead, where he was a machine operator. He was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Syracuse. He was a U.S. Army WWII Pacific Theatre Veteran, a member of the Pioneer Club at DANA and helped with the Boy Scout Troop 28 in Syracuse.

On August 6, 1948, he married Kathaleen M. Boger. She survives.

Survivors include his wife: Kathaleen M. Jetmore of Syracuse, son: Daniel R. Jetmore of Ft. Wayne and a daughter: Diann Kay Penny of Tucson, Arizona. A granddaughter: Krista Penny of Tucson, brother: Harold (Linda) Jetmore of Avon, Florida, and 2 sisters: Wilma and Dorothy also survive.

Services will be held 11:00AM, Friday, December 9, 2005, at the Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home in Syracuse. Pastor Carl Satre will officiate. Burial will be in the Syracuse Cemetery with Military Honors. Friends may call 2:00-4:00PM and 6:00-8:00PM, Thursday, December 8, 2005, at the Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel.

Memorials may be given to the American Lung Association.
