Emmajean Line, age 81, of Syracuse, passed away at Greencroft Healthcare in Goshen on Sunday, November 27, 2005. She was born on January 15, 1924, in Pierceton, Indiana, to Isaac and Wava (Howell) Witmer.

Emmajean, a lifetime area resident, was the Owner/Operator of a cleaning service. She worked for the Beacon Restaurant for 37 years, was a member of the VFW Post 1342 Ladies Auxiliary and a 1942 graduate of North Webster High School.

On March 22, 1942, she married Clement L. Line. He preceded in 2004.

Survivors include 6 daughters: Elaine (Paul) Stilwell of Florida, Jackie (Edgar) Pippenger of Nappanee, Sonya (John) Yoder of Texas, Sarah (Allen) Conner of Syracuse, Teresa (Charlie) Hopkins of Syracuse, Lillian (Mitchell, Sr.) Skinner of Ligonier, 1 son: Larry (Pat) Line of Syracuse, 18 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, several step grandchildren and great grandchildren, 2 sisters: Betty Lou Hart of Ligonier and Retha (Stan) Barrick of Elkhart. She was preceded by her parents and her husband.

Services will be held Wednesday, November 30, 2005, at 11:00AM at the Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel in Syracuse. Burial will follow at the North Webster Mock Addition. Friends may call 2 hours prior to service.

Memorials may be given to the American Diabetes Assocation or the American Heart Association.
