Paul R. Schermerhorn

Paul R. Schermerhorn, age 88, of Leesburg, passed away at Lakeland Rehab and Healthcare in Milford on Sunday, November 6, 2005. He was born on May 23, 1917, in Huntington, Indiana, to Noah & Julia (Priddy) Endsley.

Paul was a dairy farmer with Endsley Dairy and retired from CTB in Milford in 1985, after 26 years. He was a member of the New Salem Church of the Brethren and a 1936 graduate of Leesburg High School.

On September 7, 1940, he married June Pinkerton. She survives.

Survivors include his wife: June, of Leesburg, 3 daughters: Becky Honeycutt of Indianapolis, Patricia (Richard) Lucas of Naples, Florida, Cynthia (Dan) Sundberg of Sylvania, Ohio, 2 sons: Steve (Connie) Schermerhorn of New Paris, Doug Schermerhorn of Chame Rep of Panama, 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 children: David and Martha, 1 sister and 1 brother.

Services will be held at 1:00PM Wednesday, November 9, 2005, at the New Salem Church of the Brethren. Pastor Robert Rice will officiate. Burial will follow at the New Salem Cemetery. Friends may call 5-8PM on Tuesday, November 8, 2005, at the Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home in Milford.

Memorial Contributions may be given to New Salem Church of the Brethren for Embera Bible Translation Fund.
