Catherine E. Gottschalk

Catherine E. Gottschalk, age 93, of 316 Wooies Lane, Bremen, formerly of Bourbon, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2005 at Bremen Health Care Center.

She was born January 26, 1912 in Marshall County, IN to Archie & Louise (Miller) Gottschalk. She worked for Elkhart Coach, was a graduate of Bourbon High School, member of the First United Church in Bourbon, and she attended the First United Church of Christ on Woodland. She enjoyed crocheting and quilting. Family and friends spoke of Catherine as "A Caregiver" who always took time to do for others, and she had a strong need to take care of others.

Catherine is survived by her cousins Stephen (Pam) Engel of Bloomington, IN, Annabelle Barkelew of Woodenville, WA, Berneice Wilson of South Bend, Roland Young of Monroeville, IN, and Karen Hardy of Pennsylvania. She is also survived by her dear friend Nored Schlarb of Wyatt, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Graveside services will be held 2:00PM Thursday, September 15, 2005 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Plymouth. Rev. Ken Seiffert will officate.

Memorials may be given to the Bremen Manor.
